Privacy policy
What we collect when you browse, order or get in touch, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed.
Last updated 25 August 2026
IDEA FARMS (GSTIN 27AUEPS3534R1ZW), at 1105, BramhaCorp Business Park, Wadgaonsheri, Pune, Maharashtra 411014, operates ideafarms.in. We collect only what we need to take an order, deliver it, and answer your questions.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, delivery address, email address and phone number.
- Custom brief: any text, artwork, files or reference photos you send us for a made-to-order piece.
- Payment details: handled entirely by our payment gateway. Card numbers, UPI IDs and net-banking credentials are entered on the gateway’s own page and never reach our servers or our staff.
- Usage data: pages viewed, approximate location by city, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or WhatsApp, kept as part of your support history.
How we use it
- To produce, pack and deliver your order, and to keep you updated on it.
- To take payment and to confirm that payment actually settled.
- To answer enquiries and provide support.
- To understand which pages and products people actually use, so we can improve them.
- To send our studio letter — only if you enter your email into that form, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising. We do rely on the following providers to run the shop, and each receives only what it needs to do its job:
- PayU (PayU Payments Private Limited, India) — processes your payment. You are taken to PayU’s own checkout to enter payment details, and PayU tells us only whether the transaction succeeded, for how much, and its reference number.
- Supabase — the database that stores your order, delivery address and contact details.
- Vercel — hosts the website and serves its pages. Vercel Analytics gives us aggregate page-view counts and does not use cookies or identify individual visitors.
- Mailjet — sends your order confirmation email. It receives your name, email address, order contents and delivery address so the confirmation can be written.
- Telegram — delivers the internal new-order alert to our studio, so an order is seen and started promptly. That alert contains your order details and delivery address.
- Google Analytics 4 — measures site usage and which steps of checkout people complete. It sets cookies and receives an anonymous identifier, the pages you view, and the value of your order. It does not receive your name, address, email or phone number.
- Meta Pixel — where enabled, measures which visits led to an order so we can judge whether advertising is worth running. It sets cookies and receives the same kind of event data as above, not your contact details.
- Courier partners — receive your name, delivery address and phone number, because a parcel cannot be delivered without them.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to message us there, your message and phone number are handled under WhatsApp’s own privacy terms as well as this one.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
Cookies and tracking
Your cart is kept in your own browser’s local storage, not on our servers — clearing your browser data clears your cart. Google Analytics and, where enabled, the Meta Pixel set cookies to recognise a returning browser. You can block or delete these through your browser settings, or by using a tracker-blocking extension; the shop works normally either way, and nothing about your order depends on them.
How long we keep it
- Order and transaction records: retained for eight years, which is the period Indian tax and company law requires for books of account.
- Custom-order files and briefs: kept up to two years after the order, so we can reprint or reproduce a piece if you ask.
- Studio-letter signups: kept until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: retained on the providers’ own schedules, currently up to fourteen months.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct anything that is wrong, or to delete it. Email support@ideafarms.in and we will respond within 30 days.
One limit worth stating plainly: we cannot delete the transaction records behind a completed order before the eight-year retention period above expires, because we are required by law to keep them. Everything else can go on request.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and order data is held in an access-controlled database. We never see or store your card, UPI or net-banking credentials. No system is perfect — if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you.
Children
The shop is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we add or drop a provider, or change what we collect, we will update this page and the “last updated” date at the top of it.
Contact and grievances
For anything about privacy — including a complaint about how your information has been handled — reach us at support@ideafarms.in or +91-8983488400, or through the contact page. We acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
